Guinea’s aluminum reserves of 18 billion tons, the grade of 50% to 60%, annual output of 12 million tons, ranking first in Africa, the world’s second. The port is the main transport hub, a sea dike and the railway bridge and the mainland phase. One of the main railway lines connects KANKAN and FRIA to the north. The railway connects with the main cities of the country and reaches neighboring countries like Mali, Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire. Major industries are oil refining, vehicle repair, textiles, canned fruit, meat processing, oil extraction and cigarettes. The port is about 15km away from the international airport, with regular flights to the rest of the world.

The port is a tropical rain forest climate, prevailing in January the north wind, July for the south wind. The annual average temperature is 34 ℃, the maximum temperature is 18 ℃. The annual average rainfall of about 3000mm, 5 ~ November for the rainy season. There are nine main berths in the harbor area with a coastline of 1904m and a maximum water depth of 11m. There are various crane, forklift, conveyor, floating crane, tugboat and ro-ro facilities, etc.

The maximum hoisting capacity of the truck crane is 50 tons, the floating crane is 60 tons and the power of the tug is 1400KW. Diameter of 250mm of the pipeline, up to 1610m. Port area of 59,000 square meters warehouse, shed area of 25,000 square meters. Loading and unloading efficiency: 1000 tons of ore per hour. The annual cargo handling capacity of about 800 million tons. In addition to bauxite exports of major commodities, there are iron ore and bananas, etc., imports of oil, machinery, rice and daily necessities. Arrangements can be made on holidays if necessary, but must be negotiated with the workers.
